Assistant Account Executive

Palmer Public Inc.

While conceiving campaigns to feature leaders in the acrylic industry in national publications such as Design Milk and the New York Post, creating award-winning applications for an immersive subscription box at Fast Company and SUBTA, designing communication materials for a lifestyle and fashion PR resource guidebook and rebranding Palmer Public's social interface to stand out as an innovator and thought-leader on pop culture and industry trends, I have scaled the ladder from part-time intern to assistant account executive within a year.

Special Events and Development Intern

Chicago Children's Museum

During the season of my time at the Chicago Children's Museum, I gained knowledge and exposure into facets of the non-profit and public relations sectors that are not readily available. As an intern, I had the sole responsibility to track and maintain all donations for the Annual Gala's silent auction, which totaled more than $100,000. With a team of talented and experienced individuals, we coordinated the full-scale of logistics for the gala, creating promotional materials, day-of event management and post-event evaluation.

Preschool Intern/Substitute Teacher

The Capitol School

As a required portion of my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Development, my internship and subsequent employment with the Capitol School led to adventure and exploration that only small minds can teach. Through the implementation of lesson plans and activities that encouraged cognitive training, personality assessment and emotional regulation, my skillsets were also improved. Following the completion of my internship, I was asked to return as a substitute teacher for grades pre-Kindergarten through high school, and received an invaluable amount of experience in education and life.

Events and Tourism Internship

Tuscaloosa Tourism and Sports

Combining my two passions - tourism and events, this internship taught me quantifiable skills outside of the classroom. Creating Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for future activities at local venues, including weddings, conventions and sporting events, introduced responsibilities that are commonplace in the events industry. Other job duties included day-of event management, logistical planning and concierge activities.

Event Management Practicum

The University of Alabama University Programs Office

In my sophomore year of college, a convention management course cemented my in-class knowledge, through "real world' practice. My skills and knowledge were tested in the conceptualization and execution of a unique event for the student body at The University of Alabama. As a member of a small team, my specific job duties were primarily relegated to guest relations, vendor management and volunteer coordination.
